Gin to My Tonic Festival

16th and 17th June 

Held in the grounds of Sudbury House Hotel, The Gin to My Tonic Festival organised by the local Folly Gin Brewers. 

100s of craft spirits, including Vodkas, Rum and of course Gin! With live music and plenty of samples this is certainly an occasion to lift your spirits.

This unique and unusual 100ft Tower is Faringdon’s icon and the last major folly to be built in England. 
Hailed as 'Britain's finest 20th century Folly Tower' and 'One of the most important follies in Britain'

Located just behind The Hotel with access from our gardens, the Faringdon Folly Tower Trust offers Open Days as well as private bookings and tours. There are also as 22 hidden blackbird sculptures to attempt to find across the tower and surrounding woodland. 

The Sudbury House gardens have direct access to the path up to the Folly Tower and Woodlands

Closer to Wildlife! Stroll around the Park discovering over 260 different animal species in 160 acres of beautiful parkland and stunning gardens.

Get eye-to-eye with Giraffe, walk with Lemurs in our Madagascar exhibit and watch Rhinos graze in front of the Gothic listed Manor House, with only a ha-ha in between you.

Take a ride on Bella the Train around the Park or let the kids explore the adventure playground.

Have lunch in our restaurant or picnic on our spacious lawns. Pet the goats in the Farmyard or watch the Penguins being fed

If your're brave take a peek in our Reptile house with Crocodiles, venomous snakes and lizards or watch the bats flying around in the Bat house or see the creepy crawlies in the Insect House.

Stroll around our Walled Garden with Meerkats, Otters, Prairie Dogs, Penguins and Tropical House with free-roaming Sloths, bats and birds.

The glorious garden make a beautiful backdrop to the animals.

Badbury Hill Camp is in shape an irregular circle and overlooks the Vale of the White Horse to the south and a long stretch of low lying ground to the north-west, Thames Valley.

An iron age fort, it is strategically placed on the highest ground in the area.

Badbury Clump as it is known locally is a favourite place for walkers and their dogs.

In May, the bluebells are beautiful, and the woods attract a large number of visitors.

Buscot Park is the home of the Henderson family and the present Lord Faringdon.

The family look after the property on behalf of The National Trust.

Within the property is a vast collection known as The Faringdon Collection containing pictures furniture, ceramics and objects d'art. The collection portrays a variety of famous artists including Rembrandt, Botticelli and Reynold. The collection also included British art with outstanding works by Edward Burne-Jones and Dante Gabriel Rosetti as well as many more displays that have been collected over the last century. 

Farmer Gow's is a Hands on' farm animal handling and feeding experiences with farmyard adventure and play. With daily meet the animal sessions and regularly offering a varity of experiences and workshops

Roves Farm is a family owned working farm, having added a visitor centre in 1992 to welcome all ages to visit the farm to learn about animals, farming and the countryside. With opportunities to meet and feed the animals, enjoy a tractor ride and play in the indoor play barn or outdoor adventure play.
