We can provisionally hold your date for two weeks, if you would like to secure this date we would require a £950.00 non-refunable deposit.

We would recommend the 1pm or 2pm ceremony time. 

Wedding Coordinator, Garden for Drinks reception and photographs, Starlit Backdrop & Top Table Skirt (Magnolia Only), Complimentary Junior Suite, White Table Line and Napkins, Use of Hotel Cake Stand, Knife and Table Number, Hotel Easel, Extensive free parking, Background Music of your choice 

Your contracted numbers form the basis of the minimum numbers chargeable for your wedding, final numbers and payment in full will be required 28 days before the date of your wedding. 

We have rooms suitable for 2 - 160, we do not have a minimum number requirement but a minimum spend may apply

When having a wedding breakfast you must select one starter, one main & one dessert choice along with a vegetarian/vegan option.

Any dietary requirements will be catered for in addition to the kitchen recommendations

Table plans and any menu choices must be received a minimum of 28 days prior to the wedding, the table plan included within the event planner is the one that will be used on the day.

We will have an annotated copy with any dietary requirements, and will also use this to place out favours and place cards that you provide

If you are holding a ceremony at the hotel, it is your responsibility to book the Registrar or Celebrant for your wedding. If you have not booked the Registrar before making your booking with us, we strongly advise you to do so as soon as possible after you have received our confirmation of booking.

Biodegradable confetti is permitted outside only, no type of confetti is permitted inside the hotel.

Sparklers are not permitted to be used onsite

External catering is not allowed at the hotel with the exception of: a Wedding cake and Confectionary (Sweet Tables). No other baked goods, cheeses or any other food item are able to be brought into the hotel without the express permission of the hotel management.

Set up will be agreed with your wedding co-ordinator (We are unable to take any responsibility for any belongings left at the hotel

Drop off/storage can be accepted no earlier than 11.00am on the day of the wedding unless prearranged (charges may apply)

Set down will be agreed with your wedding co-ordinator (We are unable to take any responsibility for any belongings left at the hotel)

Collection of wedding items should be within 3 hours of the finish time of the event unless prearranged (charges may apply).

Any items and packaging provided by the couple getting married must be removed from the premise by 11am the following day 

Any external suppliers must be approved by the hotel and provide PAT testing certificates (where appropriate), liability insurance and risk assessments (where appropriate).

Arrival time and contact details for any external suppliers will be required to be provided to the hotel. 

Access to the function rooms is from 11 am and a break in the evening to setup for the reception

If you are booked for an upcoming Wedding at Sudbury House and wish to discuss your requirements with the Wedding coordinator, please give us a call or contact us directly for us to connect you with their Wedding Coordinator. 

We do allow candles as long as they are places in a holder, which walls are 1" higher than the flame

We can play the requested music for your ceremony and also the background music of your choice, share the Spotufy code with us and we will have this ready for the day. 

Your Wedding co-ordinator will act as your Master of Ceremonies on the day however if you have a member of your party who you wish to nominate as a Master of Ceremonies for your wedding day we will support them on the day when to make the announcements. 

We will pack away items that is brought by the couple for the day as we cannot be responsible for any belongings left at the hotel we would recommend nominating a person in your party to gather the gifts and cards on the day. 

Special accommodation rates can be arranged for your guests and will be confirmed in your contract.

All rooms will be held for you until three months prior to the arrival date at which point all unconfirmed rooms will be released with no charge.

To confirm their reservation a non-refundable deposit of £30.00 per room will be required at the time of booking. The individual guests are responsible to the hotel for full settlement of all costs associated with their reservation unless otherwise stated

What Our Guests Say

We stayed for two nights in the Deluxe Suite. This was probably the best suite we have stayed anywhere in the UK. The three rooms are very large and very well appointed with high quality furnishings and equipment. The bed, chairs and sofas were all very comfortable and the rooms were immaculately clean. All the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble and any request we made was carried out within minutes.

The breakfasts and dinners were excellent and the staff again were extremely friendly, helpful and attentive. The meals were delicious and of a very high quality . Unfortunately, we had to leave after two days although we had booked for four but again the staff were very understanding and helpful. We will be visiting again.

This is a hidden gem that does quality, classy and understated hospitality at its best. We stayed for a night as a family of 4 including two teenage kids and our dog. We had a fantastic dinner in the bar of fresh, high quality food which was excellently prepared. We even managed a game of Cluedo before the evening was up. Our rooms were very comfortable with lovely beds. Morning brought a quick dog walk around the grounds followed by a delicious breakfast. Services was spot on again. Quite how this place is such a secret, we don’t know. The chef is new but is clearly destined for greatness, the manager is friendly but focussed and the setting is lovely. Don’t book anywhere else. This is it - perfection. 

Stayed for two nights Valentines weekend. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice. Evening meal very good. Hotel was clean, warm and room fully equipped. All staff were pleasant and helpful. Will certainly return.

Visited this hotel on a business trip, absolutely beautiful!! The staff were overly attentive and the food faultless, I highly recommend and would definitely come again! We were personally greeted by the manageress and looked after beyond all expectations, 10 out of 10.

We arrived to a friendly, warm welcome. The room was clean and comfortable with everything we needed. We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel. All the food at dinner was excellent and beautifully presented. Served by helpful, attentive staff. Breakfast was a buffet which was all hot and replenished as necessary. Check out again was friendly and efficient. We will definitely be back.

We only stayed one night, the hotel was excellent very friendly staff made to feel very welcome. Would definitely stay again.
